Give Kids the World Village does a couple fun things.
They talked to us parents about it ahead of time to say how we can make it as special or not special as we want, so we went all out of course.

First is the pillow tree.

We talked to the kids about how it's special and a families love is what helps the pillows grow, and the kids had to push the button together and the tree gave them all a pillow.

It was super cool.

The other thing they do is have every family that goes to the village make a star.  We design it, and then the star fairy takes it.

We put it into this box and follow the twinkle and monitors to watch her take our star.

Then over night we get a paper that shows where the star went, and we can go back the next day to see it.  The coolest thing is that when we went back the next day we saw the star fairy put a couple stars out.  Everyone who has ever stayed there has their star up!  Ours is way up there!

We rode the carousel quite a few times when we were there and also had fun with many of the parties they had every night.

Mayor Claton tucking us in!  It was so fun!

Quinn riding her horse.  Horse therapy riders were there to help any child who wanted to ride a horse.

Isaiah riding his horse.

Denali on her horse.

and that is it for our amazing wish trip!

Thank you!

We are going back to our trip.
We stayed at the Give Kids the World Village.
Here the kids are driving the boats outside.

The ice cream palace is open all the time and it's tradition to have ice cream for breakfast.  So we did!

There are fun things everywhere we look.
 Our packet of stuff!
Curious George was the first character we met and he was so fun!

Different folks showed up to help at the village and a band came to play and we got to help!  The kids were shy but finally did a little rhythm

Here is in front of the game room.
 Our disney passes.
Eating at the gingerbread house.  There you can see the mints in the table.
 Sitting on our porch relaxing.
A couple of my favorite pictures from the whole trip.
Outside the castle of miracles.
Look at those smiles.
More about  the castle and village tomorrow!

I love this picture!

We are always busy it seems, and I'm good with that.
Quinn and I went to the relay for life, raising money for all kinds of cancer and uplifting everyone who has been affected by this horrible event.
Seeing the walker, being positive and having a team with them to walk together was great.

Then to top it off a number of Chase Dancers, including Dancing beyond Limits danced for the walkers.

Our friend Lily is going to California to compete in the Miss Amazing pagent and shared her dance with us.  It's AMAZING!
The boys hip hop guys are always so fun to watch.
Taking a bow!  A fun uplifting night!
A few of the walkers clapping on our wonderful girls.
While we were doing that, John went out to the panhandle of Nebraska to pick up our other two from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brandon's house.  They were spoiled rotten.

A few things to catch up on.
Quinn's new shirt from camp:
If it involves Flying Squirrel, archery, fishing, nature, exploring, smores, horseback riding, camp fires or dancing, Count me in.  Easter Seals 2015.  So fun!

I still have pictures to share from our Make a Wish trip, but today I'm sharing the stories the kids wrote.

The Give Kids the World Village
By
Denali and Quinn Otte

One more minute mom said, as we were driving down the road.  That minute went fast.  The second we entered Give Kids the World village my whole family celebrated.  We had to drive two and a half days and it was great to finally be there.  But…. we forgot that mom had to go to a meeting that night.  We found out our villa was not quite ready also.  So we thought and …. Lets go take a walk around the village, mom said, before we could think another thought.  On our walk, we stopped and had some ice cream.  We went into the free ice cream shop.  Denali had cookie dough ice cream, Quinn had whipped cream with chocolate.  Also there was a giant sculpture of a banana split on top of the building.  It looked so cool.

Then we went to this big building.  When we got inside we noticed it was a big playroom.  We first walked into a train room.  It had lots and lots of buttons all around the trains.  We tried to press every button to see how the trains and things would move.  Our brother also tried to press all the buttons.  None of us met our goal of pressing all the buttons, and there were probably 50 buttons.  But that was not a big deal.  Then we went to a boat area where we could drive our own remote controlled boats.  We played in this area for a long time.  Then came the sad part…  mom had to go to her meeting and get all our passes for all the parks.  So mom to me, dad, my brother, and my sister Quinn, the make a wish girl to this big play room.  It was full of different games, like air hockey, pool, basketball shoot, and much more.  I also got a stuffy when we got there, and kept loosing it as I was playing games, and thankfully Isaiah kept finding it for me.    Before I knew it, mom was done with her meeting and we headed to the gingerbread house to eat dinner.  When we got there and I saw the tables I was amazed.  There were hundreds of little mint candies inside of the tables.

A few things we loved about the Gingerbread house were:  the food, the decorations, like all the dolls and stuffed animals around the ceiling, and the tables.  As well as how we did not have to carry our food, but volunteers would carry it for us and they let us pick out where we would sit.  To top it off they had desert.

After we were done eating we walked to our villa, I got to see what it looked like, and then I went to bed excited, eager to see the magic kingdom in the morning.

Splash Mountain
By
Isaiah Otte

We were at Splash Mountain.  Dad and I got in front.  We were on a tiny boat that looked like a log.  It went up down up down up down up up up … Woosh, it went down fast.  It felt like I was flying.  I was so glad there was a handle bar across my or I would have flown.  On the big dip, I got soaking wet.  Then I had to wipe my face on dad’s shirt so I could see.  Then we got off.  We all asked to do it again, except one of us.  Denali did not like it.  (She wanted to ride because Isaiah did, and half way through she started crying because she was scared of the big dip coming up, and Quinn kept looking at her wondering why she was crying for the ride.)  The ride was about a rabbit who escapes the fox.  I liked it a million times over.  Out of everything, I would pick splash mountain to do again, because it was fun and silly and I got wet.

My favorite part about the Atlantic Ocean was, collecting sea shells and riding the waves.

My favorite thing about Sea World was seeing the dolphin and whale show.

My favorite food when we were there was the buffets that we got to go to because they had lots of choices.

My favorite restaurant was the Gingerbread house because it was cool to see all the candies in the table.

The best thing I bought to bring home was the pins I traded or my light saver.
