 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Time keeps ticking by so fast.  I want it to slow down because before I know it, my kids will be changing chapters in their lives and I love having them with me now.

Isaiah

Has an earbud connected to his head all the time.  He is a great kid.  He is into boy scouts right now and has figured out he loves archery.  He is in 11th grade and has started taking classes to figure out what he wants to do as he gets older.  He has lots of ideas, but does not have to figure it out yet.

He has a great sense of humor and is always willing to jump in and help out with all kinds of things.  He is also doing a great job at church with the youth group.

Quinn

Quinn is in 10th grade, she got lots of new teachers this year, but is doing pretty good now.  She had a big hospital visit to figure out how we can help her brain not be so jumpy and we are following up and changing meds around.

She is going to do band and we have some cool technology that we are going to use this year, so here is hoping that goes well.

She also is dancing and dancing and dancing, and it is so good for all of us.

here is the trio that is dancing together this year.  Her sister and a friend.

look at that smile.  We love dance.

Denali

Denali is in 10th grade and stays busy dancing with her groups and helping with Quinn's group.  She is busy with band, she plays the clarinet and is also now playing the trumpet as well.  Between band and dance her nights are full, so it keeps her out of trouble.  She is already looking at the future and has all kinds of big ideas, we will see where they take her!

John is working hard, and still remote, he loves that he does not have to drive in the bad weather.  At times you can find him in his pajama pants and a dress shirt.  He is a taxi cab for Denali most evenings as well, or spending time loving up his mom.
I am still teaching, and thankful to have a job that keeps me on my toes and able to share my creativity with lots and lots of kids.  Past that I am loving up my kids, they are pretty great!

These two keep up busy too, Colbalt and Buttercup are in charge of the house and will let us know as soon as anyone is near, and love us up, and you can't beat that.

We have finally gotten to spend time with family again, and that is so good.

We have also gotten to get out and do some exploring, so thankful for that.

So keeping it short and sweet, as I have to get ready for a big day of teaching.
Blessing to you all, and here is to a wonderful new year.

The Otte's

Quinn's group just danced with the Lincoln symphony, and it was wonderful.  We had our practice day and two performances, and it was great.  Quinn gets so nervous ahead of time, but then loves it when she calms down.  So thankful for this program!

As I am starting to put out Christmas cards, and have said come look at what we have been up to, well, it is still a work in process, so check back!  I am in process of getting it written!

lots of love!

Susan

We have started a few of our dance recitals, so great!
Quinn was smiling ear to ear!

We went in for a 24 hour eeg to read Quinn's mind, and her seizures have changed,
so we also need to change her meds, so that process is going.

We had a family reunion, and it was so good to see family!!!

I don't know what is going on with my time, I feel like my lists keep growing faster then I can cross things off the list, but we are getting there.

Love to you all!

Well, I'm back, I will try to do better on here.

This was our 3rd er trip since school started.

Seizures and hormones are not a good match.

Then insurance does not want to cover meds that we can not afford on our own, so I have spent so much time talking to pharmacy folks and doctor office folks.  I am tired!  Thankful for the support and help in working with insurance to figure things out, but it is a lot right now.

Quinn and I both have colds right now too.  :(

Isaiah has been busy with youth group and I am so proud of him for sticking with this and being such a good role model for so many.

We had halloween at dance and that was fun.
So thankful for this family.

Denali has state band and they improved through every performance.

Denali also got her first job, so she keeps working hard.

So we are staying busy, I am so thankful for this blog, and will try to get back to it more oftern.

thanks for checking in.
