We love the Toy Soldier and Christmas tree at Children's Hospital.
Yesterday was Quinn and I's yearly trip to Children's Hospital,
Children's Developmental Clinic.
We started the day at 5:30, left the house around 6, got to Children's a little after 7,
and hung out in our own personal room for about 5 hours, while folks came to us.

We had therapists of all kinds, bone doctors, breathing doctors, social workers, a dietitian, and a few other folks.  We had our Christmas music playing, and Quinn started out in a great mood.  She knows she gets to pick something fun to do after a day of being poked and checked out.  She was telling the girls that she wanted to go out to eat, and all the things she wanted to do, she was in a great mood.

A few hours later we were getting X-Rays, and she was starting to get tired, very tired.  These days are wonderful, as we see so many folks and get so much done, but they are exhausting!
We took a break for lunch and had to check out the Christmas Tree's and water areas.
Quinn was in the best mood, smiling for pictures and everything.

Then we went to get the blood draw done.  This is after the first poke, she was still ok, the 2nd and 3rd poke, still resulting in no blood brought on alligator tears, it was hard to watch.  Finally they had to get the blood out of her finger.  I'm so glad that is over.  We had to stay and rock and sooth our rattled feelings for awhile, and then we loaded up.
Here we are after all the tears, not at all as happy.  She told me she no longer wanted to go out to eat, she just wanted to go home to her family.
So we bundled up and home we went.  We did stop and get a sugar cookie for all the kids as our fun surprise.

Everything went well, we are changing up a few things but over all, we are doing so good.  We do have a meeting with the heart doctor next week, that is the one that scares me a little, so prayers and good karma are welcome!

Blessings!  Susan
