Merry Christmas!
The Otte’s Top Ten List:
10. We started foster care last year. Isaiah and Denali moved in
with us on January 17th , 2013, and God had this planned.
9. We are so thankful for all our therapists. Miss Nikki is Isaiah
and Denali’s therapist and we all love her. Quinn still has Suzanne,
Staci, Diane, Chrissy, Jen, Rachael, and Lori. We love how with
everyone’s help, all our kids are making great progress.
8. We are so thankful for how much the kids love each other. It’s
crazy how much all three of our kids love each other. Watching
Denali and Quinn cuddle up together, or Isaiah making sure
everything is fair for all three of the kids, which shows that it was
meant to be.
7.Isaiah’s passion is swimming and he is loving it. He is still testing
out the waters on what he wants to do, but swimming is winning out
at the moment.
6. Denali’s activity is dancing ballet and hip hop. She can be a bit
impulsive and clumsy, and dancing has helped her calm down and
control her body so much better, and does she ever love her dance
outfits.
5. Quinn’s still dancing and it is inspiring. She danced at the first
National Miss Amazing Pageant and it was an amazing experience
for all of us. She comes alive, giggles, and just shines when she
dances.
4.Isaiah is an amazing big brother at the age of 7. He loves playing
video games with dad, playing outside and finding bugs, and is
doing wonderful in school.
3.Denali is the baby of our family at 6. She takes charge, and knows
what everyone is doing at all times. She loves to help Quinn with
her homework, and continues to improve so much by working so
hard learning to read and write.
2.Quinn is doing great. She is now a middle child. No hospital trips
this year at all. (She made me out to be a fibber, as she wanted to go
to Children's Hospital over her birthday last weekend, right after I sent out cards!)
Granted she has her fair share of colds and doctor
visits, but that is so much better than emergency room visits. She is
working hard using her dynovox, and is getting better at driving her
wheelchair. We still have a ways to go, but she is improving. She is
finally starting to show off in school, and is working hard on her
spelling tests. She has even gotten 100% on a couple of them.
1. Our family changed for the better on November 23rd , 2013, and
we adopted Isaiah and Denali. At the hearing, Quinn giggled and
yelled out ‘yes’ to the judge when she asked us a few questions about
if we would be a good family.
We are so very blessed this year.
