Warning! Lots of pictures in this one. We had our Miss Amazing competition. It is all about giving girls with special needs confidence to shine!
So the event started Friday night.
The kids did their trio dance for Quinn's talent, and had a few minutes to practice on the stage.
I love the logo
Able. Confident. Amazing
The inside of the program.
The events for the day. Practicing on stage for the Evening Gown, and the schedule.
They always get buddies, and we had some sweet ones.
They had lots of photo opportunities!
Here is one of the craft projects and the interview.
Then the night started with the talent. Oh Quinn loves to be on stage!
I always make sure the kids know that they do not have to do this with Quinn. It is an opportunity and they all continue to choose to do it.
We have dances the next three weekends, Isaiah was not super excited to hear that, but said he will keep doing it!
I walked back stage to find the girls cuddling, and then they got on stage and did great!
Then it was time to change into even gowns. Quinn was starting to get tired,
she was so excited the night before that she did not get much sleep, but she pushed through and made it.
Then the kids went on stage and hit their marks.
We had to check on them back stage a few times.
We loved hanging out with Lily, one of the queens, and seeing all the girls in the competition, and seeing all the buddies willing to spend their day with these great girls. Such a positive feel.
They crowned all the princesses and then crowned the Queens, and then we were off to bed.
We had to make a weekend out of it and do some swimming here and there.
Then to end the night, it was late and it was a long day, so I said everyone make a grouchy face.
Hmmm, the grouchy faces are not all that grouchy! :)
So fun to hang out with friends and have such a positive event to shine at.
Blessed!
