It was Isaiah's birthday week.
Wednesday Quinn had a follow up appointment with the doctor.  He is happy with how she is doing.  She seems to still be tired, but she is also still working with new nurses that she does not know very well, and there is already turn over there, so I can not blame her for not wanting to sleep when someone new is all up in your business.

After the doctors, Isaiah wanted to go to the Omaha gardens.  He got to get a piece of petrified wood, and they have a cool dinosaur display there right now.

We love this place!
We had a fun photo shoot on the stairs.

Now that I got the kids phones, I am very careful how I let them use them.  I let them take them along this time to take pictures.  It was pretty fun to have them share their photos afterwards, sharing what they saw, why they took the picture they did, and see it from their point of view.
Here are two pictures Isaiah took.

and
Here are two of Denali's pictures she took.

Then we went to the Amazing Pizza machine.

Quinn slept the whole time, again training a few new nurses is exhausting for both of us.

 Isaiah's actual birthday!

and a snow day thrown in for a nice break!

Back to some type of routines.  Sort of.

I went back to school, Grandma came down to help watch the kids last week.
Then she stayed to watch Quinn for the first part of this week.
Quinn is taking a bit to get over that sickness this time.
Over last weekend, Grandpa came down too.
He helped us with lots of house stuff to fix.  Hang a fan in Denali's room, fix a few things here and there.  Thanks Grandpa Steve!
Then Grandma stayed a few more days to hang out with Quinn.
She also helped Denali make a Narwhal blanket.
Thanks Grandma Vicki.
Finally Thursday, Quinn went back to school.  She was so excited.
She giggled all morning until the bus got here.
She stayed awake for all of school, and then went to therapy, and did great there too.
She was so excited about the day, she took forever to get to sleep that night!

We say it again and again, but we love therapy!
So here is to a calm weekend, it snowed over 6 inches, so we are good with being calm and relaxed.  I'm making some chili, and we are going to play and rest.  Have a great week!

Our break is about over, and it was very calm this year.
We changed plans numerous times, and everyone went with it.
That was good.

Quinn has been resting.  It is taking her a long time to get over this bug this time.
She has lots of support.

Isaiah and Denali did a lift training to help move Quinn around.
I am so thankful they are willing to jump in and help out.
Isaiah and Denali had to try out the sling and find out what Quinn goes through moving around.
Thank you Chrissy for teaching us.
Quinn was so excited to finally get out of the house to go to therapy.
We are so thankful for these therapists.  They help Quinn feel better, as she was so tight due to all our days in the hospital, and laying around.  She is all smiles being worked on.
Quinn is staying home from school for the first part of next week.
Her oxygen levels are still not where we want them, and she has a few doctor appointments,
so we are hoping rest and snuggles help her get back to her baseline, so we can get back to our routines.
