Here we are practicing reading our parts before church.

We got to light two Advent candles this morning and share a reading.  All three kids did part of it, and they were wonderful.  Right before we were about to walk down and do our part, Quinn ran over Denali's foot, because Denali was getting nervous and stuck her foot in front of Quinn's chair, but she got herself under control, and did a great job.  Isaiah started by reading his part, he passed the mic to Denali, who held it up to Quinn's dynovox, so she could click and read her part, and Denali finished her reading, while Isaiah and Dad lit the candles.

We are working hard at making this Christmas fun, but also remembering the meaning of the season with reading about Jesus, and giving of ourselves in different ways.   We created ginger bread houses at church earlier in the week, and are doing all the fun things, but trying to find a balance of giving as much as we are talking about getting.  At the same time focusing on the real meaning of Christmas, and that amazing little baby who was born.

Quinn's dance recital was canceled today, due to bad weather here, and will be tomorrow night instead, so we had a restful afternoon, played in the snow, and had hot chocolate.  So it was a fun day.

Denali reminded Quinn how lucky she is to have such a great brother and sister today.  I guess she did not want Quinn to forget.  I have to agree with her, because after Isaiah gave me a good night hug tonight, he had to go over to Quinn and being so gentle, had to give her a good night hug as well, and whisper a few good nights to her.  Then Denali also had to give Quinn a hug, they are not as gentle, and she will smash their cheeks together, and I can say that Quinn loves both of their hugs.  Having a brother and sister is so good for Quinn!  In turn it's good for Isaiah and Denali to have Quinn for a sister, they all learn so much from each other.
