We sure do love Chrissy!  Just look at that love!
Chrissy put on her PT hat, and met us at Total to get Quinn's new seating measured.  Since Quinn is growing like a weed, in fact I'm pretty sure she is the heaviest of our three kids.  She has outgrown her regular seat that is in her wheelchair.  So we got to go in and get measured and fitted for a new chair.  This is a big deal, as she does sit in it more then anything else, and we want it to fit good, be comfortable, and help her stay in a good posture, so we can keep that spine in good order and such.
So first off they carried a huge tote of stuff into the room, and got a chair type thing out that they would put different cushions and such into.  They focused on the seat part of the chair first.  The mold was kind of like flower foam, that a simple mark stays there forever, so they had to get it right the first time, there was not possibilities of mistakes.   So they carefully got her onto the seat, and continued to work with her legs and hips to get her into a position that she will be comfortable in.  Her one leg is longer then the other by a bit, so they also had to make adjustments for that.  Pushing here, moving this other there, and after they got her out, they were all three very happy with the results.

There you go, a mold of Quinn's rear.  Not everyone can say they have a mold of their rear!

Then Quinn got a break, she got to stretch and loosen up.
Next were measurements, how long is this and how wide is that.

A bit more stretching.  Quinn better love this while she can, as it's not very functional to swing a 10 year old around.  Good thing she is only 7, but like I said before, she is growing like a weed!
Now comes the back of the chair.  They do this a totally different way.  They have a bean bag chair of sorts, and they fill it with air, then suck the air out and pull it around to get the shape of her back.
So they set her in it, and start pushing and pulling the chair around Quinn.  They talk about how it needs to hug her, while having room to grow, and making sure it's straight up, not leaning to one side, which Quinn loves to do.
They are all so professional, yet, loving, they work hard, yet they are so gentle, and kind with Quinn.  What a good group of folks they have at Total, and we already know how amazing Chrissy is.
Kurt loves to get his picture taken!  Well not so much, so I'm thankful he puts up with us moms that take way to many pictures.

Then here is Quinn's back mold.
Quinn got another bit of love from Chrissy.
Then they plaster over the mold to get Quinn's back mold complete and send the two molds away and hopefully by summer, insurance, and everything going correctly, we will have a new chair on top of her wheelchair.
